Subject: First tape
This is the best version of the first tape that I heard - the one that made me a lifer in the Army of the Dead. A dub of a dub of a dub of the late show 2nd set opened all three of my eyes wide. There is a unique, strange, laid back vibe to this set, or maybe it's just me, but it has remained on the top shelf ever since I heard it in 1974 at New College in Sarasota awash in clean Windowpane, next to the water and gaga at the sunset.

Wow out of the blue comes this great-quality recording. Thanks for sharing.

Subject: Tighten Up Jam ...........
Worth it if only for the 'Tighten Up Jam' during 'Dancing in the Street'.

Plenty of other items of interest. Bobby is a bit 'excited' during the early Dead set, calms down a bit later.

Also, nice to have all under just one 'roof'.

I find the NRPS stuff a bit flat, despite the presence of the great man on pedal steel. But you have to have the lows to appreciate the highs - just personal opinion.

PS Only small beer but the CD 'count' is wrong. Hypothetically speaking, if you wanted to burn this show, you'd want to switch to disc 5 after "Big Railroad Blues" starting afresh from "St. Stephen".
